Aims

. To emphasise and to widen the disciplinary scope of earthen construction and heritage;

. To promote the debate and the transference of knowledge, aiming at the stimulation and the accomplishment of common projects involving archaeology, architecture, engineering, anthropology and other disciplines that find interest in this subject area.

. To encourage the university contribution in the research sphere related to the construction and conservation of earthen architecture;

. To further the improvement in the quality of the construction;

. To take part in the formation and subsequent preparation of technicians in the construction and conservation of earthen architecture;

. To deepen and to contribute for the sustainable development at local and national scales;

. To disseminate the earthen contemporary architecture, promoting the use of natural materials with larger energy efficiency, as well as strategies for local training, with rising social integration.
