{"id":386,"date":"2018-02-07T12:45:43","date_gmt":"2018-02-07T12:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esg.pt\/ciesg\/?p=386"},"modified":"2018-02-07T12:45:43","modified_gmt":"2018-02-07T12:45:43","slug":"3dpast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esg.pt\/ciesg\/3dpast\/","title":{"rendered":"3dPast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Site<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/esg.pt\/3dpast\/\">3dPast: Living &amp; virtual visiting European World Heritage<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project will focus on the vernacular dwellings located in different sites, across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>It will explore the <span class=\"highlight\">Architectural Dimension (D1)<\/span> regarding the buildings <strong>maintenance<\/strong>, in order to contribute to the awareness and the preservation of the <strong>authenticity<\/strong> and <strong>integrity principles<\/strong> at those sites.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, it will also contribute to the interpretation of the <span class=\"highlight\">Local Building Culture Historical Evolution (D2)<\/span>\u00a0of the dwellings\u2019 sites, which will be recreated through <strong>3D visualization<\/strong> and <strong>augmented reality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This could become a <strong>powerful didactic tool<\/strong>\u00a0for children, young people and interested citizens, not only to <strong>learn and value<\/strong> the relevance of the vernacular buildings that should be preserved, but also to enhance the <span class=\"highlight\">Immaterial Culture (D3)<\/span> still in-use nowadays, regarding the buildings\u2019 architectural techniques, materials and building systems\u2019 maintenance. A legacy passed down from generation to generation, essential to survive, as part of the European identity.<\/p>\n<p>The project also aims to attract tourists to these sites, through the use of\u00a0<strong>Mobile Apps <\/strong>on site, which will open the mind to other ways of inhabit, as well as to new audiences.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, this will give the opportunity for non-traveller citizens, to visit other dimensions, as <strong>3D modeling <\/strong>of World Heritage Sites in Europe. This digital interactive communication tools will be available on the <strong>digital platform <\/strong>to be created throughout the project, but it will also be available on the local tourist offices, or on the site interpretation centers to better assist and disseminate the tangible and intangible knowledge regarding these European sites.<\/p>\n<p>The development of these <strong>Innovative Technological Ways\u00a0<\/strong>of reaching new audiences could become a factor of distinctiveness of European World Heritage Sites.
