The high participation of worldwide specialists, academics, national professionals and interested locals raised active debates, which resulted in reflexions that contributed to the definition of new research lines and new areas of interest within the protection, conservation, rehabilitation and knowledge of vernacular heritage and earthen architecture.
It should be mentioned the notorious growth of international interest in disciplinary areas related to vernacular heritage and earthen architecture, and its articulation in a more sustainable contemporary architecture for a more integrated local development.
